Falkland is not a breed, but wool from the Falkland Islands. It contains cross breeds of Merino, Polwarth, Corriedale, and Romney. Why is it special? Breeders there specifically select for bright white, fine high-quality fibers. Being on an island, the sheep are isolated from many diseases, and thus the sheep are not chemically dipped, and farmers do not use chemicals on their fodder, which makes this wool meet organic standards. Micron 26, staple length 4-6 inches, 100-115 mm.
