Scarves, scarves, scarves

As of 2011, I no longer make these scarves.  Sorry!

Those of you who follow my blog may have noticed that I’ve been pretty quiet, and haven’t been posting yummy yarn pictures. I’m here to explain all that!

Starting on ‘Black Friday’ after Thanksgiving, the scarf orders start rolling in, and generally go until the shipping deadline for Christmas. With the economy the way it has been, people seemed to turn toward more practical gifts, and I had an amazing scarf season.

Just when I thought scarf season was over, though…..along comes a young lady who is getting married this coming weekend. She ordered scarves for the entire wedding party so they can do pictures out in the snow! What a great idea for fun pictures and a nice thank you gift (if I do say so myself!) Anyway, here’s the 18 scarves I knit for her:
Scarves!
Not only that, but I had a good 10 orders after that! I want to thank everyone who has ordered a scarf…..I had quite the workout, but it was great to provide this service….I know some colors are just so hard to find!

Scarves are winding down some, and I’ve spent this week replenishing my rainbow yarn supply. I’ll have those, and a few winter yarns up next week, then I’ll take another bit of a break to get my year end accounting done. I should be back to full steam in February.

As of 2011, I no longer make these scarves.  Sorry!

Thanks so much for knitting us those scarves. We had a crazy spring here in Chicago and various members of our bridal party were sporting those scarves all the way up until April! 🙂 They were beautiful and very personalized! Let me know if you would like the outdoor pictures of us all in the snow with them if you need any advertising help 🙂
